Reversible data hiding in encrypted images based on pixel prediction and multi-MSB planes rearrangement

Great concern has arisen in the field of reversible data hiding encrypted images (RDHEI) due to development cloud storage and privacy protection. RDHEI is an effective technology that can embed additional after image encryption, extract error-free reconstruct original losslessly. In this paper, a high-capacity fully method proposed, which based on pixel prediction multi-MSB (most significant bit) planes rearrangement. First, median edge detector (MED) predictor used calculate predicted value. Next, unlike previous methods, our proposed method, signs errors (PEs) are represented by one bit plane absolute values PEs other planes. Then, we divide into uniform blocks non-uniform blocks, rearrange these blocks. Finally, according different schemes, numbers embedded adaptively. The experimental results prove higher embedding capacity compared with state-of-the-art methods.
